PROCLAIMING THE GOOD NEWS MINISTRIES

The time came that those who are hosting and attending weekly house to house bible study suggested to find a place to rent both for the residence of the founding couple, and for Sunday fellowship because during that time, Pastor Dutch & Nhel with their two children; Yvonne (2 yr old) and Dutch Jayson, a few months old were living in Babag II Lapu-Lapu City.

True enough, when the desire of the heart is the things of God, we found a place to regularly gather every Sunday for corporate worship. It was at #416 Bontores St. Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City, the 3 storey building of Mr. Robert and Daisy Chan. It served both the residence of the Manzano family and fellowship center on the 3rd floor.

After a while of doing the work of the gospel steadily, finally the ministry work was legally registered to S.E.C on September 02, 1999 bearing the name “Proclaiming the Good News Ministry Inc.”, an independent gospel ministry. 

​

During this time, the small young church having not enough income yet, to support the family, God amazingly provided a passenger multicab from “Mustard Seed Foundation” as grant funds. The said multicab is plying from Minglanilla to Punta Princesa and vice versa. This cab served as the daily provisions to the founding family without compromise to the gospel ministry, since it was owned by the couple.

 

The ministry of the gospel under Good News (Proclaiming the Good News Ministry) continues without wavering in whatever circumstances, since its mandate is to proclaim the gospel under the anointing from the book of Mark 1:14.  The small congregation of Good News Ministry, who are being mold to support mission has ventured to open a work in the province of Masbate, the home province of Pastora Juvy Rubin. Many had been baptized, but it didn’t last due to lack of worker.

The door was opened by God to do a tribal mission in Agusan del Sur and Pastor Dutch and now pPastor Boy Rubin accepted the challenge to spy the unfamiliar Manobo tribal territory in 2002.  Hours of walking barefooted on the mud was the obstacle they overcame just for the gospel to be preached in that area. 

 

Brother Jun Calimpusan, now the head pastor of the tribal mission was one among many others who were baptized in water.  To update at present, we have 11 pastors in 10 tribal outreaches including Butuan City.

The Proclaiming the Good News Ministries continued to fulfill its mandate in different cities and provinces. The GNCF church was established in Tabina Zamboanga del Sur with daughter outreach in GNCF Dona Josefina, GNCF Escalante was established in Negros Occidental, GNCF in Puerto Princesa City, GNCF/FCF was established in Carles Iloilo, and two affiliates; Blessed Hope in Pardo and Jlac in Kawit Medellin, North of Cebu.

 

After long years of prayers and longing to own a property and fellowship center finally, on February 2022, the Lord God granted the desire of our hearts in finding pleasure in his gospel work. Proclaiming the Good News Ministry Inc. was able to purchase a property lot in cold cash, bearing the size of 1,174sqm sufficient with parking lot and the building we are in now.

Thank god to the new generation leaders, headed by our admin pastor, Ptr. Mervin Nacorda, Shana Mae Manzano Young-Professional chair, and Melvie Ayacaide YAC chair.

They will be the heirs of these legacy to continue to prosper during their time and to raise a new strong and brave leaders of the next to continue to prosper the work.
